Product Introduction
High-strength torsional shear (TC) bolts manufactured to GB/T 3632, designed for critical structural steel connections where a calibrated, verifiable preload is required. The bolt features a spline end that shears at a predetermined torque, confirming that the specified tension has been achieved without the need for direct tension measurement. Sizes from M16 to M30 are supplied in property class 10.9S, with larger diameters available on order.

Material & Mechanical Properties
Forged from high-grade medium carbon alloy steel and quench-and-tempered to meet the mechanical requirements of class 10.9S under GB/T 3632. Tensile strength, proof load, and Charpy V-notch values are certified by heat lot, with full test reports supplied. The metallurgy and heat treatment deliver consistent strength and ductility for slip-critical and bearing-type bolted connections.

Spline & Installation
The bolt head is a heavy hexagon with a spline extension at the shank end. During installation, a shear wrench engages both the nut and the spline, applying counter-torque until the spline fractures at the design preload. The spline break-off provides visual confirmation of correct tensioning and eliminates the risk of under- or over-torque from field torque wrenches.

Surface Protection
Standard finish is black oxide, which provides moderate corrosion resistance and a clean, uniform appearance. For outdoor or aggressive environments, hot-dip galvanized, zinc electroplated, or other engineered coatings are specified. Coating selection is controlled to avoid hydrogen embrittlement in high-strength fasteners.
