Product Introduction
Hexagon nuts manufactured from carbon steel to DIN 934, also conforming to ISO 4032, ANSI B18.2.2, JIS B1181, and GB/T 6170 where dimensionally equivalent. The product range covers metric coarse and fine threads across property classes 8, 10, and 12 per ISO 898-2, matching bolt assemblies in general mechanical, structural, and industrial service. Domed cap nuts (DIN 1587) are available separately when a closed-end fastener is specified.

Material & Mechanical Properties
Cold-formed or hot-forged from carbon steel wire and bar, then tempered according to strength class. Proof load values are certified per production lot, with traceability to heat number. The nut material and heat treatment ensure that when paired with a bolt of matching grade, the nut will sustain the full proof stress of the bolt without thread stripping or deformation.

Geometry & Thread
Internal ISO metric thread per ISO 724, coarse pitch series as standard. The external hexagon is dimensioned to the wrench openings specified by the applicable national standard, allowing use with open-end, ring, and socket tools. A chamfered bearing face and lead thread entry aid initial bolt engagement and protect threads during power-tool running.

Corrosion Protection
Electrolytic zinc plating to ASTM B633 or ISO 4042 is supplied for indoor and mild service environments. For outdoor structural applications, hot-dip galvanized nuts are zinc-coated and overtapped to accommodate bolt coating allowance. Additional engineered finishes—zinc-nickel, zinc flake, black oxide—are available to match specific corrosivity and compatibility requirements.
