Product Introduction
Metric socket head cap screws manufactured to DIN 912 (superseded by ISO 4762; equivalent to GB/T 70.1 and ASME B18.3.1M). The fastener features a cylindrical head with an internal hexagon drive, allowing installation in confined spaces where external wrenching heads cannot fit. Thread sizes M1.6 to M42 in standard metric coarse pitch. Property classes 4.8, 8.8, 10.9, and 12.9 per ISO 898-1. Standard finish is black oxide.

Black Oxide Finish
Applied by chemical conversion, the black oxide coating produces a non-reflective matte black surface with mild corrosion resistance for indoor and dry environments. It does not materially alter thread dimensions, preserving the specified tolerance class. The finish provides initial lubrication during assembly and reduces the risk of thread galling. Because corrosion protection is limited, installed fasteners should be shielded from continuous moisture.
Application Suitability
Machinery housings, hydraulic manifolds, injection molding clamp plates, precision die and fixture assemblies, automotive engine and transmission components, and robotic joint fastening. The compact cylindrical head and internal hex drive make the screw suitable for high-strength joints in restricted access locations.
